Intro 社区介绍

深圳DIY(SZDIY)是一个自由软硬件社区，最初由来自SZLUG（Shenzhen Linux User Group）的Linux爱好者于2009年创立。社区线上采用邮件列表和IRC交流想法，线下定期举办聚会来分享各自领域的知识、交流想法、协作推进项目。社区鼓励大家动手协作，解决日常生活中所遇到的实际问题。经历数年积累，社区沉淀下了不少原创DIY项目，同时凝聚了众多来自不同领域的技术人才，逐渐形成了“行胜于言”的社区文化。

Shenzhen DIY Community (SZDIY) is a community for free software and hardware enthusiasts. It was initially founded in 2009 by Linux enthusiasts from SZLUG (Shenzhen Linux User Group). The community utilizes mailing lists and IRC for online idea exchange, while also organizing regular offline gatherings to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and collaborate on projects in various fields. SZDIY encourages hands-on collaboration to solve practical problems encountered in daily life. Over the years, the community has accumulated a wealth of original DIY projects and has attracted talented individuals from diverse domains, gradually fostering a culture that emphasizes action over mere words.

• 自由：社区鼓励和支持个人思想、表达和行动的自由，自由软件精神也是其中重要的组成部分，有助于保障用户的自由和隐私，确保技术的共享和开放。
• 分享：社区提倡开放和透明的合作方式和知识共享，促进参与者之间的沟通和信息交流，让每个人都有机会从中受益并做出贡献。

• 进步：社区强调不断学习和不断进步的态度和精神，鼓励参与者不断研究和尝试新技术和新方法，以创造更好的东西，并积极地探索和解决问题。

• Freedom: The community encourages and supports the freedom of individual thought, expression, and action. The spirit of free software is also a crucial component, ensuring the freedom and privacy of users, while promoting the sharing and openness of technology.
• Sharing: The community advocates for open and transparent collaboration and knowledge sharing. It fosters communication and information exchange among participants, providing opportunities for everyone to benefit and contribute.
• Progress: The community emphasizes a continuous learning and progressive mindset. It encourages participants to explore and experiment with new technologies and approaches, striving to create better solutions while actively exploring and solving problems.

• 2009-04-19 SZDIY成立。
• 2011-08-11 柴火 MakerSpace为SZDIY提供每周四晚的固定聚会场地（至2014-04-08为止）。
• 2013-10-18 SZDIY的首届Hack42 Hackathon在开放制造空间Techspace成功举办。
• 2014-04-08 SZDIY Hackerspace在白石洲工业区成立。
• 2015-01-01 社区项目Artanis被接纳成为GNU官方项目，是SZDIY为自由软件运动的做出贡献之一。
• 2017-09-24 SZDIY 与 LAB ZERO (lab0x0) 联合举办 IOT Hackathon。
• 2017-10-07 SZDIY Hackerspace搬到科技园科苑西小区33栋515室。
• 2019-04-19 SZDIY成立10周年。
• 2020-04-30 SZDIY每周四的固定聚会从此转向线上。
• 2023-04-15 SZDIY恢复线下聚会。

• 2023-12-07 SZDIY Hackerspace搬到高新南区香港科技大学产学研大楼314-P。

• 2009-04-19 SZDIY was established.
• 2011-08-11 Chaihuo MakerSpace provided a fixed gathering place for SZDIY every Thursday evening (until April 8, 2014).
• 2013-10-18 The inaugural Hack42 Hackathon, hosted by SZDIY, was successfully held at the Techspace open manufacturing space.
• 2014-04-08 SZDIY Hackerspace was established in the Baishizhou Industrial Zone.
• 2015-01-01 The community project, Artanis, was accepted as an official GNU project, marking one of SZDIY’s contributions to the free software movement.
• 2017-09-24 SZDIY and LAB ZERO (lab0x0) co-organized the IOT Hackathon.
• 2017-10-07 SZDIY Hackerspace relocated to Room 515, Building 33, Keyuanxi Community, Science Park.
• 2019-04-19 SZDIY celebrated its 10th anniversary.
• 2020-04-30 SZDIY’s fixed weekly gatherings shifted to online platforms.
• 2023-04-15 SZDIY resumed offline gatherings.
• 2023-12-07 SZDIY Hackerspace relocated to Room 314-P of the Industry-Academia-Research Building in the Nanshan District of Hong Kong Science and Technology University.
